Where should your company actually start?

Your systems work. Individually. The question is whether they work together — and where the gaps between them are quietly costing you time, data and decisions.

The Digitalization Audit answers that in two to four weeks. You get a clear picture of where you stand and a prioritized roadmap for the next six to twelve months.

You know something needs to change. The hard part is knowing where to start.

The information you need lives in Excel, in email, and in three systems that don't talk to each other.

The CRM exists. The team doesn't really use it.

Reporting takes days, and nobody fully trusts the numbers.

Someone is testing AI. There's no shared view on what for, or what the rules are.

Half your process knowledge sits with two people who've been there fifteen years.

None of these are really technology problems. They're a sign that your systems, processes, data and people have drifted out of alignment — usually slowly, usually for good reasons at the time.

A roadmap, not a strategy document

Most assessments end with a fifty-page report nobody opens twice. This one ends with a prioritized list of what to fix, in what order, and roughly what it takes.

Priority What we found What to do When
High Customer data split between CRM and Excel Make the CRM the single source, migrate active records Month 1
High Sales emails aren't logged anywhere Outlook integration plus a short training round Month 1
Medium Management reporting is rebuilt by hand every month One standard dashboard, agreed KPIs Months 2–3
Medium Lead follow-up depends on who remembers Routing and reminder workflows Months 2–3
Later AI has no reliable operational data to work with Finish the data ownership and integration work first Months 4–6

Illustrative example. Your findings will look different.

Timeline

Two to four weeks from kickoff, depending on how many departments and systems are in scope.

What we need from you

One management sponsor, three to five stakeholder interviews, and access to what already exists.

Your time

Roughly four to eight hours internally, in total. We agree the scope before we start.

The questions your management team is already asking

Where are we losing time and money?

Manual re-entry, duplicate work, approvals that sit in inboxes, reporting that gets rebuilt from scratch every month. You'll get a process map showing where the effort goes and which fixes pay back fastest.

Should we improve what we have, or replace it?

This is where most SMEs get stuck, and where a lot of advice is conveniently self-serving. We don't start from a preferred platform — the recommendation is to keep, fix, integrate, consolidate or replace.

Are we actually ready for AI?

AI needs usable data, defined processes, sensible access rules and people who know what they're doing with it. You'll get an honest readiness view — including the parts that need to happen first.

What do we do first?

Most companies don't lack ideas. They lack sequence. You'll get a phased roadmap: quick wins, foundation work, and the bigger projects that only make sense once the foundation is there.

The audit also covers system integration, CRM adoption, automation priorities and expected return.

Four steps

01

Understand

Management kickoff, three to five stakeholder interviews, a look at whatever strategy and documentation already exists.

02

Map

How work, information and customer data actually move through the company. Including the handovers nobody has written down.

03

Assess

Every opportunity scored on business impact, effort, data readiness, organizational readiness and risk. That's what produces the sequence.

04

Recommend

The roadmap, the report, and a working session with your leadership team.

Questions

Is this an IT audit?

No. An IT audit looks at infrastructure, security and technical compliance. We look at how technology, data, processes and people support the business — or don't.

Is this an AI audit?

AI readiness is part of it, but the scope is wider. We check whether your processes and data are a workable foundation before anyone talks about use cases.

Do we need to know which software we want?

No. Working that out is part of the point.

Will you just recommend HubSpot?

No. HubSpot suits a lot of SME sales and marketing setups, and we know it well. It isn't the answer to every question, and the recommendation follows your requirements, not our preferences.

How much of our team's time does it take?

One sponsor and three to five interviews. Around four to eight hours internally, agreed before we start.

What happens afterwards?

The roadmap is yours. Implement it internally, hand it to specialists, or ask us to take on parts of it. No obligation either way.

Is our data safe?

We agree what access we need before starting, request only what's necessary, and define upfront how confidential and personal information is handled.
